新宿ホームレス　1995〜1996

東京の新宿駅西口広場には、バブル経済が崩壊して仕事も無く、寝るところも無いホームレスが集まり、ダンボールで作ったダンボールハウスが１つ、二つと増えて、いつの間にかコミュニティが出来てしまった。 
私が取材を重ねているうちに、ここには、リーダーがいて統制の取れた地区となっていた。
　ホームレス達は、ただ、たむろって居るのではなく、周りを清掃したり、何故、こうなのかをアピールする看板も立てられるようになった。 
個々のホームレスは、仕事をしたくても仕事にありつけない、お金が無く住むところが無い。仕方なくここに来てしまったようだ。　大都会新宿はレストランや食堂から出る残飯（かなり良い物がある）またコンビニから出る賞味期限切れの食物が沢山あり、しかも地下広場は雨風しのげるしトイレも近い。
　この場所はホームレスにとっては特別の場所なのだ。
　私は、バブル経済崩壊後の社会問題として、浮上したホームレスの成り行きを追ってみた。

In Shinjuku Station west exit open space of Tokyo, bubble economy collapsed, and, without work, the homeless people whom there was not gathered in a place to lie and of I increased with the corrugated cardboard house one which I made with corrugated cardboard, two, and it has been possible for community all too soon.  
While I repeated coverage, a leader was here and became the district which I was able to take of control.
But there was not hanging, and I cleaned, and, as for the homeless people, it became put up the circumference to the signboard which appealed to you why it was so.  There is not a place there is not the money that cannot get work even if an individual homeless person works, and to live in. I seem to have come to here unwillingly. 　In big city Shinjuku, there is food of leftover food (it grows, and there is a good thing) running out of expiration date coming out of a convenience store again going out of a restaurant and a dining room a lot, and, besides, a basement open space can exceed wind and rain, and a lavatory is near.
This place is a special place for a homeless person.
I tried to chase the course of the homeless person who surfaced as a social problem after bubble economy collapse.

警官隊と衝突する、支援者が討議のアピール、広場は騒然となる。
The homeless people clashed with a police officer at last.
Protest of the people who helped a homeless person resounded, and the open space was turbulent.

２５〜６年前の学生運動を思い出させる、ホームレスたちの討議デモと警官隊との衝突であった。
It was a discussion demonstration of homeless people to remind of a student movement before 25-6 years and a collision with the police force.
