小劇場として、劇やコンサート、落語、マジック等の公演を行ってきた渋谷山手協会の地階にあった「ジァン・ジァン」は、劇場を運営してきた経営者の言葉（20世紀で終焉）どおり2000年で幕を閉じた。
私は、寺山修司の演劇を鑑賞するため、妻や娘と何回も足を運んだ。Ｌ字型の会場は壁・天井が黒色、ステージが角に位置し2方向から観る変り種の空間、寺山流に言えば、演出により片一方の幕を閉じると、観ることのできる観客のざわめきが、観れないほうの観客に伝わり、観ることの出来ない観客は「何が行われているのか？」想像を膨らめることになる。こういった観客を巻き込んだ演出にはもってこいの劇場だった。
劇場のキャパは、椅子席が100席、椅子に座れない人はサイドの壁立つか、最前列の床に座るなどで、150人程度が入場できた。
2000年4月25日、私は娘と共に寺山修司作「血は立ったまま凍る」最後の公演を楽しんだ。「ジァン・ジァンよ、ありがとう！」

The seating
capacity of the theater sits on the front-row floor whether 100 seats of chair
seats stand in the wall side, and around 150 can enter it.
On April 24, 2000, as for me, a Shuji Terayama product enjoyed the performance
of the last when "the blood was frozen with having stood" with
a daughter.
