加賀藩の城下町として栄えた金沢、金沢駅の観光案内所で金沢の戦跡について尋ねたが「金沢は戦禍に遭っていません。爆撃も受けていません」と言われた。戦禍に遭っていないが、金沢市が明治維新後に加賀藩の衰退を背景に、軍を誘致した痕跡があった。
金沢城公園の周りを歩くと、明治・大正期に建設された欧州風のレトロな建物やレンガ造りの倉庫が現れる。
福井・富山は爆撃されたが、金沢が空襲を受けなかったのは、軍需工場がそれほど無かったからと言われている。空襲を逃れたからこそ、レトロな建築物がのこっている。
Kanazawa
flourished as a castle town of the Kaga clan.
When I asked about
the battle sites in Kanazawa at the tourist information center at Kanazawa
Station, I was told, ``Kanazawa has not been affected by war, nor has it been
bombed.'' Although it was not affected by war, Kanazawa City attracted the
military against the backdrop of the decline of the Kaga domain after the Meiji
Restoration.
As you walk around
Kanazawa Castle Park, you will see retro European-style buildings and brick
warehouses built during the Meiji and Taisho periods.
The current
Ishikawa Prefectural Museum and National Crafts Museum were originally military
headquarters and arsenals. Kanazawa Castle ruins became a military base, and
the 9th Army Division was established during military expansion after the
Sino-Japanese War.
The building of the 6th Brigade headquarters was still preserved at the Kanazawa Castle ruins.
Although Fukui and
Toyama were bombed, it is said that the reason Kanazawa was not hit by air
raids was because there were not many munitions factories. The retro
architecture is still there because it survived the air raids.
I visited the
battle site in Kanazawa, which is crowded with foreign tourists.

陸軍第九師団長官舎 Army
9th Division Director's Building
登録有形文化財 現在は石川県立美術館広坂別館Currently Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art Hirosaka Annex 元は加賀藩家老本多氏上屋敷。192211年(1に第9師団の司令長官舎として建立。かつては和館も併設されていた。戦後は米軍将校官舎、金沢家庭裁判所、児童会館などで使用し、2016年に修復再整備した。

レンガ造りのトンネル Tunnel
leading to ammunition depot (inside Kanazawa Castle)
明治から昭和にかけて金沢城は旧陸軍の所管となり軍用施設が設けられ、このトンネルは旧陸軍によって弾薬庫が建設された明治から大正期につくられたものとされている。明治8年(1875)に陸軍歩兵第7連隊、明治31年からは陸軍第9師団司令部が金沢城址に駐留し、 弾薬庫に通じるトンネルとして使用された。。
From the Meiji period to the Showa period, Kanazawa Castle was under the
jurisdiction of the former Army and military facilities were built there,
and this tunnel is said to have been built between the Meiji and Taisho
periods, when the former Army built an ammunition depot. In 1875, the 7th
Army Infantry Regiment and the 9th Army Division Headquarters were stationed
at the Kanazawa Castle ruins from 1871, and the tunnel was used as a tunnel
leading to an ammunition depot. .
鶴丸倉庫＝陸軍第九師団被服倉庫（金沢城土蔵）
Tsurumaru Warehouse = Army 9th Division Clothing Warehouse (Kanazawa Castle
Storehouse)
国重要文化財：幕末の嘉永元年(1848)に建立され、城郭内の土蔵としては最大級の規模。 明治以降は陸軍第九師団被服倉庫として使用。
National Important Cultural Property: Built in 1848 at the end of the Edo
period, it is one of the largest earthen storehouses within the castle
walls. From the Meiji era onwards, it was used as a clothing warehouse
for the 9th Army Division.
第六旅団司令部 6th
Brigade Headquarters
1897年に建てられた木造平家建て建造物。換気口には陸軍のシンボル五芒星もある。
A wooden Heike-style building built in 1897. The air vents also feature
the Army's symbol, a pentagram.

石川護国神社
石川護国神社には15年戦争を賛美する「大東亜聖戦大碑」が建っており、戦没者慰霊碑等 沢山の戦争慰霊碑が建っていた。
At Ishikawa Gokoku Shrine, there is a ``Greater East Asia Holy War Monument''
that praises the 15-year war.

金沢市本多町鎮座
旧社格は県社。延喜式神名帳 加賀国加賀郡 小社「三輪神社」式内社論社。金沢市最古の神社という。
奈良時代には神仏習合し石浦山慈光院長谷寺とも。(旧日本三大長谷寺第二番所)。金沢城地の産土神。
「金澤神社」Kanazawa
Shrine
兼六園の南東に鎮座。
寛政6年(1794)、加賀藩11代藩主前田治脩が藩校明倫堂を建てた際、その鎮守社として学問の神であり前田家の祖先とされる菅原道真を奉斎する神社を創建したことにはじまる。本殿および拝殿が登録有形文化財。
In 1794, when Haruno Maeda, the 11th lord of the Kaga domain, built the
domain school Meirin-do, he also built a shrine dedicated to Michizane
Sugawara, the god of learning and the ancestor of the Maeda family, as
its guardian shrine. It all begins. The main shrine and worship hall are
registered tangible cultural properties.
