東日本大震災で救難活動「トモダチ作戦」にあたった米軍の原子力空母ロナルド・レーガンで従事したアメリカ兵らが、放射能被ばくの影響とみられる様々な病で苦しんでいる現実がある。
現在、彼らは東京電力などに対して救援資金設立を求める訴訟を起こし、原告数は４００人を超えています。現時点での死者は９人に達しているが、訴訟の行方はまだ見通せていません。(2018年）
It is a reality that American soldiers engaged in the US military nuclear carrier Ronald Reagan, who was involved in the rescue operation "Operation Tomodachi" after the Great East Japan Earthquake, are suffering from various illnesses that are thought to be the effects of radiation exposure.
Currently, they have filed a lawsuit against TEPCO and others to establish
relief funds, and the number of plaintiffs exceeds 400.At present, the
death toll has reached 9, but the whereabouts of the lawsuit are still
unknown (2018)
