映画「男たちの大和・YAMATO」ロケセット 2006.1.27

　映画「男たちの大和・YMAMATO」の実物大ロケセットが広島県尾道市の日立造船所向島工場内で、2005年7月17日～2006年3月31日まで一般公開された。
　このセットは映画での撮影の為、戦艦大和の一部分を実物大で再現し、甲板は本物が台湾檜であるが、合板が使われている。
　広島県の尾道市向島町の日立造船向島西工場跡地に総工費約6億円をかけ、戦艦大和の全長263メートルのうち艦首から艦橋付近までの190メートルが原寸大で再現された。
　奈村協東映京都所長を中心とした東映京都チームによって、ドック横の資材置き場に、建築現場の足場を組んで基礎として必要な高さを確保し、その上に合板などを使用してロケセットが作られた。
　主砲の砲身は樹脂製で、第一主砲塔の砲身や艦橋上部は省略されている。艦橋は高層建造物となるので、建築基準法の許可が下りなかったそうで、第一主砲については、設置場所の関係で主砲の土台を設置するスペースが無く、外観のみの簡略化された形になった。それらの不足部分は、大和ミュージアムに展示されている1/10模型を合成して撮影された。2005年3月に完成し、撮影は同年6月まで行われた。撮影終了後にロケセットの公開（観光）を目的として、第一主砲から艦首まで増設したが、撮影を目的としていないので、造設された部分は簡略化されていた。
　セットの公開以外にスタッフの食堂として使用していた圭ちゃん食堂（そのまま食堂として営業）や小道具、パネル展示、大和オープンセットを使用した場面の映画のメイキングシーンの放映なども同時に行われていた。

A full-scale location set for the movie "Otokotachi Yamato/Yamato" was opened to the public from July 17, 2005 to March 31, 2006 at Hitachi Zosen's Mukaishima Plant in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

Because this set was filmed for the movie, a part of the battleship Yamato was recreated in full size.
A total construction cost of about 600 million yen was spent on the site of the former Hitachi Zosen Mukaishima West Factory in Mukojima-cho, Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and 190 meters from the bow to the bridge were reproduced out of the total length of 263 meters of the battleship Yamato.

The Toei Kyoto team assembled scaffolding for the construction site in the material storage area next to the dock to secure the necessary height as a foundation, and used plywood and other materials on top to create a location set.

The barrel of the main gun is made of resin, and the barrel of the first main turret and the upper part of the bridge are omitted. Since the bridge is a high-rise building, it seems that permission was not granted under the Building Standards Law, and regarding the first main gun, there was no space to install the base of the main gun due to the installation location, and only the appearance was simplified. Became.

Those missing parts were photographed by synthesizing the 1/10 model exhibited at the Yamato Museum. It was completed in March 2005 and filming continued until June of the same year. After filming was completed, the ship was expanded from the first main gun to the bow for the purpose of publicizing the location set (tourism), but since it was not intended for filming, the parts that were built were simplified.

In addition to the opening of the set, the Kei-chan cafeteria, which was used as the cafeteria for the staff (operated as a cafeteria as it is), props, panel exhibition, and the making scene of the movie using the Yamato open set, were also broadcasted at the same time.
