連合国軍人や外国人が通行した、外国人専用の検問所旧「検問所C」で、現在は復元された建物の前で米ソの軍服を着た業者と写真撮影（2€）ができる観光名所。

チェックポイント・チャーリーに面した壁博物館は、1963年設立と古い歴史を持つ。数々の写真や資料のほか、西側への脱出に使われた車や気球、ボートなどの展示物が充実している。ここを観るだけでも十分多くのことを学べる。
The Wall Museum, facing
Checkpoint Charlie, was founded in 1963 and has an old history. In addition to
numerous photographs and materials, there are plenty of exhibits such as cars,
balloons and boats used to escape to the west. You can learn a lot just by
watching here.

多くの人が東から西へトンネルを掘って脱出したが犠牲者も200人近い。
車やカイト、衣装ケースに隠れて、東ベルリンから西ベルリンへ脱出した様子が展示されていました。
