　福島県浪江町にある希望の牧場、ここでは原発事故による放射能汚染が全く感じられない程、のどかな風景が広がる。緑の牧草地に牛が放牧され、気持ち良い風も吹いている。しかし、ここは福島第一原発から１４Kmの地点。もちろん放射能汚染されている場所である。　ここの牛を飼育しているのは吉沢さん、もともと吉沢牧場として牛の世話をする牛飼いであり、ここの責任者だ。 　

3月11日の地震発生よる津波で原発は損傷し12日3時36分に1号機が水蒸気爆発したにも関わらず、情報は浪江町役場には一切入ってこなかった。もちろん町民にも情報はない。浪江町は独自判断で、原発から25Km離れた山間部地の津島に6千人の町民が避難した。　しかし、後の情報からその場所は、当時北西の風によって大量の放射能が飛散した地域だった。

　吉沢さんは、牛飼いとして、牛が心配だったので、牧場から離れずそこにとどまっていた。牛飼いにとって、牛は家族も同然、見捨てるわけにはいかない。彼が言うには、2011年3月1４日の11時1分に起きた3号機の建屋の爆発音を二度聞き、牧場から白い噴煙を目撃している。
TVで見た原発燃料を冷やすための消防隊員や自衛隊による必死な放水作業により、この3号機は大爆発を逃れた。もしこれが爆発していたら、東京を含め東日本全体が汚染され住める状態ではなかったかもしれない。まさに命を懸けた行動だった。
この様子を見た吉沢さんは、死を覚悟で人命を救った、即ち「決死救命」だと叫ぶ！

「俺は牛たちを救おう！」汚染された牧場で線量の高いなか牛の世話をした。

　一度は二本松に避難した、そこから牛に水と餌をやりの牧場に通った。途中の検問で、「牛の命と自分の命とどちらが大切か」といわれ検問の人から「我々はあなた警告し伝えましたよ」とも言われ吉沢さんは「自己責任ってことだよな」と言い、牛に水と餌を与えた。3月１８日、吉沢さんは東京電力本店に単身で抗議に乗り込む。330頭の牛の損害賠償を伝えるためだった。
現在は牧場入口にあるショベルカーには、「決死救命、団結」の文字が書かれている。

国や役場は、汚染された牛を殺処分にすると言うが、それでは牛が可哀想、俺たちにも牛たちにも責任は無い。しかし、政府は殺処分にしてほ見えなく（隠そう）しようとしている。臭いものには蓋、これでは怒りが収まらない。この地に住み続けて、牛の余生と共に自分の余生を掛ける。

事故が起きれば制御できない原子力＝原発をなくす為、反原発の砦として、また放射能汚染した草を食べ続ける牛の生態を記録する貴重な場所として、後世に残していくつもりだと言う。
「原発一揆」反骨の牛飼い吉沢さんは、今日も牛に水と餌を与えている。「餌食ってクソ垂れて、餌食ってクソ垂れて…お前ら牛だから遠慮はいらない。俺は牛飼いだから餌をやる。」そんな言葉が聞こえてきた。

Quiet scenery opens so that the radioactive contamination by the accident of the nuclear power plant is not felt at all at the ranch with hope in Namie-machi, Fukushima.
A cow is put out to pasture by the green meadows, and there is a feeling, and the wind blows, too.
However, here is a point of 14km from Fukushima No.1 Nuclear Power Plant. Of course it is a place made radioactive contamination.

Yoshizawa is a cattleman of the Yoshizawa ranch, and it is a person in charge to breed a cow here.
Though an earthquake occurrence of March 11 was the tsunami which stopped by , and the nuclear power plant was damaged , and the first unit did phreatic explosion at 3:36 on 12th , the information did not enter the Namiemachi government office at all.
Of course a townsman does not have the information either.
By an original judgment of Namie-machi, 6,000 townsmen evacuated to Tsushima of the mountains ground 25km away from the nuclear power plant.

However, the place where what I knew from later information sheltered was the area where a large quantity of radioactivity was scattered by northwest wind.Because Yoshizawa could not get rid of the cow which was the same as a family, I stayed there without leaving the ranch.

I hear the explosion of the building of the third unit happened at 11:01 of March 14, 2011 twice so that he says and witness white smoke from the ranch home.By the desperate drainage work by a fireman and the Self-Defense Forces to cool the nuclear power generation fuel which I watched on TV, this third unit escaped from a great explosion.

It might not be in condition that the whole East Japan was polluted including Tokyo and could live when this exploded. It was right an action at the risk of life.
When it is “risking death lifesaving”, Yoshizawa calls the fireman who saved human life at the risk of death!

I continue taking care of the cow while Yoshizawa telling , " I will save cows !" , and continuing living in the polluted ranch having high radiation dose , and hanging one's rest of life with the rest of life of the cow
