Hokyoji Temple, Naraha Town, Fukushima Prefecture2022.10.26
In the precincts of Hokyo-ji Temple in Otani, Naraha-machi, Futaba-gun,
Fukushima Prefecture, there is a "traditional museum" that teaches
the lessons of the nuclear accident.
The chief priest, Atsuo Hayakawa, has been involved in the anti-nuclear power movement for many years and built it at his own expense. A two-story wooden building (1st floor and basement) on the 1st floor is an exhibition of posters from the former Science and Technology Agency that advocates "energy allergy" and the promotion of nuclear power, photographs of decontamination work, and panels explaining the earthquake disaster. On the basement floor, there is also an exhibition about the damage caused by the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the "ashes of death" of the "Daigo Fukuryu Maru", which was exposed to the hydrogen bomb test at Bikini Atoll.
Next to the ``Message Museum'', the ``Nuclear Power Plant Regret/Message Monument'' and the ``Non-Nuclear Fire'' that has been lit in the precincts of Tokyo Toshogu Shrine for 30 years have been moved to this place and are lit in hopes of peace.
