釣師浜漁港の競り
釣師浜漁港の新地地方卸売市場では2020年12月4日に再開され、約10年ぶりに競りが行われた。再開に向けては、東日本大震災の津波により流失した荷さばき施設を復興交付金を活用して2018年3月に再建し、2020年春の競り再開を目指していましたが、試験操業中で水揚げ量が少なかったことや新型コロナウイルス感染症などの影響が重なり、時期を見合わせていました。

Auction at Tsurushihama Fishing Port
The Shinchi Regional Wholesale Market at Tsurushihama Fishing Port reopened on December 4, 2020, and the auction was held for the first time in about 10 years. In preparation for the reopening, the cargo handling facility that was washed away by the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake was rebuilt in March 2018 using reconstruction grants, with the aim of resuming the auction in the spring of 2020. Due to the fact that there were few and the influence of the new coronavirus infection overlapped, the timing was postponed.
この日は刺し網漁などで取れたカレイやサワラなどが水揚げされ、約10社の仲買人がそれらを競り落としており、活気あふれる市場となっていました。（市ホームページより）
This is the third place within the jurisdiction of Soma Futaba Fishing Port to reopen, and until now, the fish that were landed were transported by land to the Soma Harugama Market, but the reopening of the market marks a step towards full-scale fishing operations.
On this day, flounder and Spanish mackerel caught by gillnet fishing were landed, and about 10 brokers were bidding on them, creating a lively market. (from city homepage
防災緑地公園 「想いの丘・慰霊碑・震災モニュメント」
緑地公園は、かつて北畑墓地があった場所で、東日本大震災の大津波で全流出してしまった。永遠に思い出としてあって欲しいという気持ちが大きく、いつまでも皆様の安らぎの場所として続くようにと願い、高さ１０ｍの盛り度をして、「想いの丘」として、整備された。
Bosai Ryokuchi Park "Omoi no Oka/Cenotaph/Earthquake Monument"
Ryokuchi Park was once home to the Kitabata Cemetery, which was completely washed away by the tsunami that followed the Great East Japan Earthquake.
With a strong desire to keep it as a memory for eternity, and hoping that it will continue to be a place of comfort for everyone, the hill was built with a height of 10m and named "Omoi no Oka".
The tombstones and remains that were washed away are being buried together and held at Ryusho-ji Temple, which is about 2km west of this place.
「想いの丘」には震災モニュメントと慰霊碑があり、モニュメントの大きな二つの石は人と人が互いに寄り添い、助け合い、支え合う姿を表し、中心の鐘は希望を表現している。お互いの胸の位置で「希望を育みながら大震災からの復興を願っている。
"Omoi no Oka" has a monument and a cenotaph. The two large stones of the monument represent people standing close to each other, helping and supporting each other, and the bell in the center represents hope. At the position of each other's chest, "We hope for recovery from the great earthquake while nurturing hope.
The cenotaph on the left has the names of the victims carved on it and overlooks the sea.
