東京渋谷で2月27日、核兵器をちらつかせるプーチンのウクライナ侵攻に抗議する集会が開かれた。
渋谷駅前の集会には、在日ウクライナ人、ロシア人、韓国人、中国人などの多くの外国人も参加した。

皆の願いは一つ「戦争反対・平和な社会を！」

　闇のベール、真実を追って「赤い闇」映画「赤い闇＝スターリンの冷たい大地で」

　コロナ禍、北半球では夏、マスクにソーシャルディスタンス、密集・密接・密閉の三密の夏。

　人類にとっての試練だ。COVID-19新コロナウイルスによるパンデミックは人間の生活を一変させた。

　中国の湖北省武漢市で2019年12月以降、病原体不明の肺炎患者が増え、2020年1月に新コロナウイルスによる肺炎だと判明した。当初、人から人へは移らないとされ、SNS・報道も制限され、謎のベールに包まれたまま時が過ぎ、WHOも中国の発表に追従し、パンデミックには、ならないと発表した。しかし、瞬く間に世界中に広がり、世界各国の医療機関が研究を重ね、兆しは見えつつあるが、現時点で有効なワクチンや特効薬も無いままに感染は広がり続けている。
　ソ連・スターリン時代のウクライナへの弾圧、ドイツのナチス政権によるホロコースト、カンボジアのポルポト政権のキリングフィールド等、世界中で、闇のベールに包まれて虐殺・虐待が行われ、真実が隠されることが、幾度となく繰り返されている。真実を追った者は、闇に葬られ、隠して容認したものは生き延びる。

映画「赤い闇」は、世界中が大恐慌にある中、奇跡の工業化発展を見せたソ連。しかし、その裏にはソ連の穀倉地帯ウクライナの収穫物の殆どが、モスクワに運ばれウクライナでは数百万人の餓死者出ていた。1933年、イギリスのフリージャーナリスト、ガレス・ジョーンズ（実名）は単独でウクライナに潜入、警察に逮捕され記事を書けないように、残酷な仕打ちを受けるが、彼は有力な支援者により、この事実を公表した。しかし、2年後30歳の若さで、何者かによって殺害された。そして、この餓死の事実を知りながら「ジョーンズのでっち上げ」と記事を書いた彼の先輩ジャーナリストは75歳まで生き延びた。この映画は真実を追求したジャーナリストの実話である。

　命の危機も顧みず、眩しいほどにまっすぐに真実を追い求めるジャーナリストの、不屈の魂に心が揺さぶられた。そして、今もなお、ロシアはウクライナを干渉し、対立している。
